Fleet Logistics has launched a new pan-European driver safety programme in conjunction with Interactive Driving Systems aimed at identifying at-risk fleet drivers who travel on the continent. The programme’s developers say that in addition to identifying at-risk drivers, it will also help in other areas such as protecting companies’ reputation. Fleet Logistics Group account management director, Philippe Bottequin, who was responsible for implementing the programme said: “We have launched our Driver Safety Programme to manage those costs down by means of better driver training and awareness,” he said. “However, we do not seek to do this by a limited intervention such as a half day’s training around a driving circuit, but by a programme of continuous monitoring and improvement throughout the company. |
