Sunseeker 90 Yacht
Sunseeker has always fostered a sporting heritage that combines race-bred performance with luxury
style. What always surprises me is that they manage to maintain this combination even when they move
into the luxury yacht category. You can see this clearly with the new 90 Yacht – a model with a profile
that flows and excites the senses but which doesn’t compromise on comfort.

Just to look at this yacht suggests fun days on the water combined with sophistication in the evenings.
Owners seem to agree with this, as Sunseeker boss Robert Braithwaite comments: “The 90 Yacht has
everything – space, comfort, good performance and great looks – and our order book seems to prove that we’ve hit the mark with this model.” I have to agree.

It is hard to believe that inside this sporting exterior lies the sublime luxury that is the Sunseeker
hallmark. The designers have resisted the temptation to squeeze in as many staterooms as possible and instead opted for very large master and VIP staterooms with two twin cabins in between. The
master is pure luxury, a full width space that features a walk-in wardrobe and a large en-suite. Four vertical side windows allow plenty of natural light and this stateroom is a haven of peace for the owner who wants temporary respite from guests. The forward VIP stateroom shares many of the same luxury features as the master, and the two twin cabins are not compromised for space.

Bathrooms are designed for ease; rich wood and fabrics heighten the luxury. Up at main deck level, the decadence continues with an inviting lounge area aft and a full eight-seater dining table with a bar counter in between.

There is a day head on main deck level, but what really impresses about the layout of this yacht is the way that it has been developed for flowing movement about the internal space.

The enclosed galley is equipped to prepare sophisticated meals, adjacent is a breakfast and
observation area, which sits alongside the helm, and crew have separate access to the galley and
the wheelhouse so that they don’t intrude on the guest areas.

A four-berth crew space comprising a double and a twin cabin has been incorporated, but there is the option of reducing the crew space and having a small tender garage too. Alternatively, the tender can be stowed on Sunseeker’s hydraulic lifting swim platform, which comes as a standard fitting, or even up on the flybridge with an optional crane.

Braithwaite continues: “This is a very versatile yacht and there are a number of possible variations to the layout and accommodation, making this the perfect boat to stamp your own personality on. It represents the next step up from the 82 Yacht and is proving extremely popular.”

The interior may be relatively formal but outside there is everything you need for fun in the sun. The flybridge features a twin helm seat with a sun bed alongside it. Further aft is a bar counter with stools, a bar and barbecue, icemaker plus a table with seating. You hardly have to stir to keep yourself well provided. This leaves a large space aft that can be given over to more sun beds or an optional spa pool.

A bimini can cover the seating areas, and if you want more shade then the cockpit aft has its own dining table and seating.

It is easy to get lost in the luxury that the 90 Yacht offers but, on the practical side, this yacht is based on a well-proven deep-vee hull concept with a fine entry to give a soft, cushioned ride in waves. There are several engine options and the top of the range 1800 hp twin diesels will give speeds in the 28 knots range. The engines are installed so that they drive forward to vee-drive gearboxes and then back aft to the propellers that are mounted in semi-tunnels. This reduces the shaft angle and gives greater propulsion efficiency as well as keeping the draught down.

This new 90 Yacht shows just what can be achieved by careful and experienced design
coupled with exquisite craftsmanship. Nothing has been left to chance and here you have it all:
the ability to cruise in both calm and challenging seas, comfort and luxury that are second to
none and a style that will make you proud of your yacht. Sunseeker continues to create these fine
designs and long may it continue.
